Behind the scenes of the Banquet Royale Rose Veal film shoot

Looking to the future with Linden Foods, Manleys have been creating the second phase marketing materials in the Banquet Royale Rose Veal branding journey. Following the successful brand launch in 2009, Linden Foods have commissioned Manleys to help guide them through the process of creating a new dynamic 2 minute DVD to help promote this superb product to the very top restaurants across the UK and Ireland.

From storyboarding, to scripting, location hunting and working with Chef Andrew Baird of the Longueville Manor, Jersey (one of the UK’s most respected Chef’s), Manleys are in the process of creating a ‘mouth watering’ visual masterpiece.

The main shoot took place in July comprising of various locations across Northern Ireland, from the Ballymena based exemplar farm where the calves are reared to the highest welfare standard, right through to Deane’s Michelin star restaurant in the centre of Belfast.

The crew got right into the thick of it with a real contrast of lights, high definition camera’s, right down to us in our welly boots in the straw bedded pens! When filming they say never work with kids or animals, so you could imagine the fun the crew had getting the ‘diva’ calves to perform to camera!

It was a very busy day going from the farm to Deane’s flagship fine dining restaurant which effortlessly combines sophistication with a minimalist design.

From the heat of the kitchen we filmed creative and artistic food shots showing the fine detail of the master chef at work to the exquisite Banquet Royale Rose Veal cuts of meat, moving through to the Michelin star dining experience by our models and waiters.

A few vox pops to camera later that evening and we were wrapped up for the day with the next task of bringing the ‘perfection in the making’ footage and theme to life in the editing suite. So watch this space for the DVD which will be out soon!
