Manleys help Farrans secure £8.5m healthcare tender

The Southern Health and Social Care Hospital Trust have pledged £8.5 million to improve local health services by commissioning Farrans Healthcare to build a new state-of-the-art extension to the Trauma & Orthopaedics facility at Craigavon Area Hospital.

Farrans Healthcare secured the tender by forming a successful working relationship with Manleys 'The Branding House', Belfast to design and produce an innovative first-class 3D multi-media presentation to pitch to the Trust.

Farrans Healthcare are currently laying foundations for the exciting new Trauma & Orthopaedics extension which will include vital facilities such as two additional theatres, twenty-one bed wards and the relocation of the existing radiology building. Farrans Healthcare aim to hand over the completed extension to the Trust by March 2010 enabling local people to benefit from the new facility. In addition, the project will provide new employment for local people and a skilled workforce of 500-600 will be working to complete the project.

John Wilson, Director, Farrans Healthcare commented on how the partnership with Manleys was instrumental in the success of the tender, he said:

Farrans Healthcare believe in the ethos of "Sharing the Vision" which Manleys succinctly captured by producing a 3D multi-media which animated the project at each stage - literally from the ground up. The viewer is taken on a journey as they fly around the building with 360° views watching the extensive development at each vital stage - from open land through to the finished build. Impressive features included a scene where the viewer is taken through the main door to see the sparse interior gradually come to life with a 21st Century operating theatre built around them.
