Unitrunk launch innovative new product, Uniklip

Unitrunk design and manufacture total cable management solutions that embody innovation, technical expertise and quality. With over 50 years of experience serving local and international markets, Unitrunk recently unveiled their newest addition to their Rapid Installation System (RIS) range. Uniklip was developed and launched as part of Unitrunk’s long-term brand consultancy project with Manleys.

Manleys worked closely with Unitrunk’s innovation department to create a new, disruptive technology for cable tray installation - a fast-fitting click together system. Manleys created the product brand, brand style and developed an advertising campaign for the launch. Manleys also created a fast action multimedia that demonstrated the capability of the innovative system. The ‘Uniklip cheetah challenge’ time trial pitted the Uniklip system against a conventional installation system. This involved creating a real life working environment obstacle course with two teams of cable tray installers racing against the clock to prove the clear speed advantage of the Uniklip system.

Uniklip was launched on the Unitrunk website and, in conjunction with a very successful trade press launch and targeted mail and email shot, Unitrunk received 24 online requests for uniklip trial packs within the first 24 hours of the site going live. Since then Unitrunk have received excellent reports and feedback from customers. Clive Wass, Contracts Supervisor with BP Electrical Solutions Ltd, was one of the first to sing Uniklip’s praises: “Unitrunk’s new Uniklip Tray System delivered the labour savings promised, with installation cost at the site reduced by up to 50%”.

On that journey Manleys have developed an integrated mix of marketing media for Unitrunk including product catalogues, branded diaries, trade press, advertising, PR, ezine, depot signage throughout the UK, interior design and a branded You-Tube channel. A new website went live with an online product catalogue including 3D product demonstrations, a news section and customer survey. Most recently Manleys produced customised iPads for Unitrunk’s Business Development (BD) Team. Each BD manager was given an iPad containing a series of sophisticated 3D animated tutorials for the Uniklip range. They can now present the full picture and innovative features of the Uniklip system to customers via their iPads.
